The night Boris announced the country was going into lockdown, Jen and Sean remember the surreal feelings of leaving work and racing to Dogs Trust to collect their new rescue dog Figg, unsure on every level of what the future held. That first night, Figg, seemingly oblivious to the fear and disbelief enveloping the country, quickly made herself at home, immediately relaxing on the sofa. Setting her stall out in those first moments, she now sleeps on every sofa and bed available and enjoys the spoils of being completely adored. Figg has a gift for cheering people up, quick to sense sadness or tension. Jen trained Figg to become an animal assisted activity dog. She now spends her Sundays visiting residents of the local care home, relishing the attention and enjoying the fuss. She simply does not accept that people don’t like dogs and tornadoes her way into everyone’s hearts!
